What Swami Rama told.....

Do you know Swami Rama?

If yes, share his views here. I would like to know about his views more. I got an interest in him, by reading the book "The Monk Who Sold his Ferrari". When I got a chance to see his book called "Living with the Himalayan Masters", I didn't missed the chance. I am currently reading the book and wish to discuss his views here. Do you know him? I know he is no more in his physical body, but do you know his findings?

I just reached few pages.... But, interesting. I will Continue to read...

I can share what I learned from him, but it will be equally interesting to share what you have learned from him as well...

aree, swana is a great reader of swami rama.

Meeta, but I thought Swami Rama didn't made any change in Swana. Had she understood the meaning of what Swami Rama told, she would not have ignored me.

Hmmm... Let me complete the book and I will post his views. Maybe there is something Swana got which I have not yet reahed. But I thought philosophies should work to make people happy and leave in harmony than making them enemies and ignoring them.

As of now, Swana is my greatest enemy, next to you. Just joking Meetas.

Keep in touch.

Dear Paul,

It was nice to be here.
Let the quest continue, whereever you might be.

Affections.

You surprised me Mr. Singh.

(Hay, for those who don't know Mr. Sigh, he is the writer and producer of the movie Banaras - A Mystic Love Story and a well established business person).

Thanks Mr Singh, for visiting my blog, without considering my non-visit to your blog.

I really appreciate it.

And yes.

The quest should continue.

I am just reading Swami Rama and so far, what I noted is he got all his vision from his teachers. For that matter, his teachers were great. So, their wisdom is been correctly absorbed by this good student. I am sure you might have already read his works. I just beginned to read him, but immediately interested.

Keep in touch.

When Swami Rama thought, he is perfect, his master told him he is yet a child and master these 4 things to become perfect.

What are they?

1. Have a desire to meet and know god.
2. But don't have no selfish desire to acquire things for yourself.
3. Give up all anger, greed and attachment.
4. Practice meditation regularly.

Hay, is it not interesting?

Eventhough we all know these, isn't good to know that it is been advised to Swami Rama by his master?

My take on the above post.

1. I fully agree on. (Have a desire to meet and know god).
2. I agree on that. We should not have any selfish desire to achquire things for ourself.
3. I agree on giving up greed and attachment. But on anger, I doubt I will not agree. I believe anger is required to keep one man in spirit. Anger is like fire or electricity. It is needed to be guided or controlled. With control, a vehicle is safe. Without control, it is safeless. So, anger is justified as long as it is for good. It do not mean that we don't have to control our anger. Yes, we have to control our anger, guide our anger. But not remain as a wood. (so, I think I have to learn more or the old principles are to be renovated.)
4.Totally agrees.

But I think perfection will not attain all with these only, but one need to look beyond the horizons of sky which can be seen in the state of meditation.

Sri Vidya...

What is Sri Vidya?

If you know only about 12 people are there who reached the stage Sri Vidya, you will wonder what it is, if you don't know already about it.

If you want to know more, read Swami Rama...
